The Statement of Performance Expectations describes our intended financial and non-financial performance during the 2024-25 financial year. Publishing a Statement of Performance Expectations is a requirement of all Crown entities, including Health New Zealand, under the Crown Entities Act 2004.

The document also outlines how we will assess our own performance for the year (which we will then record in our annual report). The document is one of the ways in which we can stay open and accountable to the public.

The Statement of Performance Expectations should be read together with the Statement of Intent 2024-2028, which outlines our intended strategic direction and priorities for the medium-term four-year period.
