Health Status Report

This is the first time Health New Zealand l Te Whatu Ora has published this report, a nationwide picture of the population’s health.

A health status report is similar to a traditional health needs assessment, including aspects such as demographic, prevalence and incidence data related to health status and key preventable risk factors. The report highlights some continuing challenges for the health sector, such as the country’s ageing population and gaps in health outcomes for some population groups.
