Healthcare environments provide some of the most challenging areas for the design, installation and operation of ICT infrastructure and solutions. These environments have exceptionally high demands for reliability, fault tolerance, and service availability, and must address the complex demands required to support clinical technology, clinical operations, staff, and equipment throughout the nation.
The purpose of these documents is to define the minimum standards and to provide guidelines to be followed when undertaking the design and installation services for Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora.
All employees, manufacturers, accredited installers, cabling contractors, and design consultants involved in Health NZ ICT infrastructure projects must adhere by these standards.
