Oral health status at Age 5 and School Year 8
These spreadsheets provide data on the oral health status of children at age 5 years and school year 8 (12/13 years). The data is reported annually by calendar year from the Community Oral Health Service (COHS). The COHS capture statistics on the number of children seen, the level of decayed, missing and filled teeth (dmft/DMFT), and the percentage of children who are caries-free. Data is organised by district and region, as well as ethnicity and fluoridation status.
Historical data sets from 1990 to 2022 can be found on the Ministry of Health’s website.
