This report looks at what could happen if BreastScreen Aotearoa, the national breast screening programme, was extended to include women up to age 74. It uses data and modelling to give an overview of how this change might affect women, screening and treatment services, and the wider health system. The aim is to help plan improvements to the programme so it provides the most benefit for New Zealanders.
