We produce, manage, maintain and publish resources that contain free health information for everyone.

Health Promotion resource store

The store contains print material, campaign assets, and other resources related to Health Promotion programmes and campaigns. These are free for anyone in Aotearoa and are used by many organisations in the health sector.

HealthEd

HealthEd is the largest collection of prevention-focused public health resources in Aotearoa. The resources are used by health professionals and in education and community settings, and all of them are available for free to the public.
We manage and provide information on HealthEd in a range of formats and languages to help people make informed choices. This website is managed by Health Promotion on behalf of the Ministry of Health.

Research publications

Health Promotion's research mahi includes:

  • performing research and evaluations to build the evidence base for health promotion in Aotearoa
  • monitoring trends with health behaviour surveys (link to Intelligence’s page on the website)
  • publishing publicly-accessible insights, evaluations and reports.

The Health New Zealand publications repository contains all current publications, as well as research published before July 2022 by Te Hiringa Hauora | Health Promotion Agency. A lot of the research functions are now undertaken by the NPHS Intelligence directorate.
