Video transcript
I’m excited to announce that nominations for the 2024 Minister of Health Volunteer Awards are now open.
Since 2013 these awards have been a chance for us to celebrate and acknowledge the incredible volunteers throughout our health system.
So far, they have recognised several thousand individuals for their significant contribution to the health and wellbeing of our communities.
We’re looking for individuals and teams who are outstanding achievers across six categories – healthcare service provider, community and non-governmental organisations, Māori health, Pacific health, mental health, youth volunteer, and long service.
The winners will have the opportunity to join me, the Minister of Health, for a celebration at Parliament at the end of the year.
Nominations close at 5pm on Monday 11 November.
So, if you know someone, or a group of people, doing great mahi, nominate them online (link will be provided below), or email volunteerawards@tewhatuora.govt.nz

These awards have taken place since 2013 and have recognised several thousand people for their significant contribution to the health and wellbeing of our communities.
