Foleys, a Dunedin-based business which started nearly 90 years ago, joins other local companies like Aotea Electrical, DBC Building Services and Mulford Holdings who will soon be working alongside many others on the build.
Foleys will be completing the plumbing and drainage aspects of the new Outpatient Building and plans to start work on the civil drainage aspects this year with piping to follow in collaboration with other contractors.
The hospital project will be one of the largest for the Dunedin-founded company which expects to have 25 of its employees working full-time on-site at the peak of construction.
Southbase is the main contractor for the New Dunedin Hospital Outpatient Building, which will open in 2026. They are committed to train, develop, and use local labour wherever possible.
