We have publicly released our Briefings to the Incoming Minister (BIMs), to the Minister of Health and Minister of Mental Health. The BIMs provide a high-level introduction to our wide-ranging responsibilities, services and initiatives to support the health and wellbeing of New Zealanders.

The BIMs are a requirement for all public sector agencies and Crown Entities like Health New Zealand following a general election or a change in minister. They are being released to help promote transparency in how we work for our Ministers. Redactions made to the documents are consistent with provisions of the Official Information Act 1982. Where information has been withheld, no public interest has been identified that would outweigh the reasons for withholding it.
